"How to find silence amid the noise "

‘Man’s problems are his inability to be by himself alone in a room!’ How can we then find silence when we are so terribly afraid of it? Have you observed people? They are ‘trying’ very hard to keep themselves busy – because if they were not distracting themselves with all and sundry – they’d be afraid to face their own thoughts!

Only people who have the courage to face themselves can find silence. Who don’t need to run away from who they are. Who don’t need to subdue their inner voice because they do not live in incompatible ways with themselves. And who are faced with little conflicts, since their value systems are rarely contradicted. Relaxation can only to come to those who are peace with themselves. Ill at ease and restlessness are synonymous!
